Is it really necessary to replace my Brake Fluid? You bet it is! Contaminated Brake Fluid will decrease the efficiency of your Brakes, and will cause serious damage to expensive Brake parts, such as Calipers, Steel Brake Lines, and ABS Modules over time.  Our Pataskala customers often ask, "How does my Brake Fluid become contaminated?"  The Brake Hoses on your car are rubber, and rubber is also found in the Master Cylinder and Calipers. Small bits of rubber wear off over time and are washed into the Brake Fluid, causing the clear fluid to become discolored - a sure sign that the system needs flushed. Brake fluid is hygroscopic, which means it attracts moisture from the air. Moisture causes the boiling point of the brake fluid to drop. The extreme heat in the Brake system with a high moisture contamination will result in a loss of Brake fluid.
